
Dr. Subhash Gulati MD was founding member of AEIOUS. He passed away in 2023 at the age of 81
Dr Gulati was a respected physician and community member, giving generously of his time and energy to many organizations, including the Association of Endocrinologists of Indian Origin in the United States, the Michigan Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage, Development Centers, the predecessor of MiSide, a Community Impact Network dedicated to providing expert support and guidance with every side of life.
His contributions to the medical community in southeast Michigan are missed.

Ved Gossain, MD, FRCP (c), MACP, FACE is the emeritus (active) Swartz Professor of Medicine and former Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, at Michigan State University (MSU). He has relinquished his administrative responsibilities, but continues to teach, serving his patients and carrying out research. He served as Chief of the Division of Endocrinology from 1996-2015. He established the Endocrinology Fellowship Program at MSU and served as the program director since its inception in 2006 to 2013. Dr. Gossain has an international reputation in the field of Endocrinology.

Prakash Kansal MD is the founding member of AEIOU. He spent most of his academic career as a clinical Endocrinologist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for over four decades, where he was a professor of Medicine. He has been dedicated to providing medical education opportunities to physicians and patients in and outside of the US and in particular in India. Dr. Kansal is now retired and living closer to his family in Chicago, IL. At age 93, he still keeps in touch with the key members of the organization and has been dedicated to seeing its growth.

Dr. Ashish Verma received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in India. HE completed his fellowships in Endocrinology and Geriatrics at Wayne State University. He is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Geriatric Medicine and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Arti Bhan received her medical degree from Government Medical College, Jammu and completed her residency at Ascension St John Hospital and her fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. She is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Durga Yerasuri received her medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India. She completed her residency at Sinai-Grace Hospital DMC and fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. She is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Swati Kumar specializes in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology Diabetes & Metabolism She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine - Internal Medicine She was educated at Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education, 2012 She served her residency at Ascension Providence Hospital, Internal Medcine, MI, 2018, and her fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Endocrinology/Metabo, MI, 2020 She speaks English, Gujarati, Hindi

Dr Roma Yogesh Gianchandani received her medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College in India. She completed her residency at Wayne State University and fellowship at University of Michigan Topiawala-Mumbai. She is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

Dr Sushma Reddy practiced in Port Huron, Michigan for 28 years. She received her medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College, Hanamkonda, India. She competed her residency and fellowship in Endocrinology at Wayne State University. She is currently with Steady Health, a virtual diabetes clinic. She is also a physician volunteer with the MAVEN Project, providing endocrine consultations and helping PCPs set up CGM clinics

Dr. Smita Bijlani received her medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer and completed her residency at Sinai Grace and fellowship at Detroit Medical Center. She is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
